Printable Calendars Save Time and Money

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is saving money and time, a great start would be printing your 2009 calendar for free online.

Rather than scribble appointments, birthdays and so on onto yet another cat calendar you got in the office Christmas exchange, consider finding a 2009 calendar online. Some can be instantly downloaded and printed for free, meaning you won’t have to make a special trip to the store.

You’ll be able to find calendars for each month of 2009, as well as full-year calendars, or calendars with all of the 12 months on one page. Some free printable calendars offer versions in which major holidays are identified in red, even on the smallest calendar pages.

When selecting a printable calendar, consider how you will use it. Do you like one full, letter-size page for each month, like a traditional wall calendar? Do you prefer a calendar that’s oriented horizontally or vertically? Do you want all 12 months on one page to tack to a bulletin board by your desk? Or perhaps a wallet-sized calendar will best suit your needs. Calendars won’t help you keep track of your life if they’re inconvenient to use, so be sure to choose one you like.

Calendars available as PDF files can be easily opened in Acrobat’s free reader, which is already on most home and business computers. If you download a calendar that’s in .DOC format, you will be able to customize it in Microsoft Word or another .DOC-compatible program such as Google Docs. Just download the calendar, open it in Word and type on it to add holidays and special events.

Be sure to save a copy of the calendar you select to your computer, so as more events are scheduled you can update your calendar template and print out a revised copy.

No matter which calendar style you prefer, you can start the year off right with a free printable 2009 calendar.
