Have you ever seen those infomercials about the many ab machines available? They all claim to give you rock hard, flat abs, and only if you buy their machine!

If you’ve ever talked to somebody in the fitness industry, you will know that you cannot spot reduce either. That is, if you only want to lose fat around your belly, then you’re going to be sadly disappointed.
When you take up a diet or exercise program to lose weight, your body obviously burns fat. Where it burns from, well that all depends on your genetic makeup. You cannot force your body to burn fat from only one area.
So you can go out and buy one of those ab machines, or you can do a thousand crunches a day. But you’re not going to see results until the fat begins to disappear from your belly area.
It might surprise you that under that fat belly of yours is possibly a rock hard six pack, especially if you’ve been working this area. Ab machines won’t burn away fat, but some can help you to build your abdominal muscles although you can get away without a machine and do other abdominal exercises. This is obviously no good to you however, if you can’t see them!
So right now your six pack is hidden by a layer of fat.

The answer is simple. The answer is “healthy eating and the right exercise program”. That’s it.
If you’re able to combine healthy eating with exercise, you will eventually begin to see more muscle definition all over your body. Of course though, if you’re like most people, the belly will be the last place for the fat to disappear from! So the key is to persevere!
How much do you want this? What does it mean to you to have the body you crave? Imagine how you will look once the fat has melted away? Will this make a difference to how you feel about yourself? Will it help boost your confidence? Will life seem better somehow?
Knowing how to lose belly fat is great, but actually doing so is probably much more difficult. It is hard to stick to a diet, and making time for exercise, well that’s almost impossible some days but if you can focus on the reasons why you want to do this, then it’s not so hard.
