Infertility – Low Sperm Count is Increasing
One of the most frustrating things in life is infertility. When couples discover they are infertile, the first thing they think is that it is woman’s problem. In fact, man’s problems count for half of the cases.
Have you seen news headlines like these in the early 1990s? “From Silent Spring to Barren Spring” (Business Week). “Downward Motility: When It Come to Sperm, You’re Half the Man Your Grandfather Was” (Esquire).
After more than a decade, are we doing better now? Not all.
In 2006, at the annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, researchers found that sperm count was reduced 30% among men who use cell phones intensively.
There is more turmoil with male infertility because there are few treatments. The wife may be angry at him because he got the curse from his sexual behaviors before the marriage. The husband may feel emasculated himself.
Male infertility is not a curse but imbalance of body systems. I find some factors undermine sperm quality.
1. Stress: Life’s stress is increasing today. 2. Environment toxins, such as electromagnetic radiation from cell phones and computers, synthetic drugs, food additives.
Now we should know how to reduce risk factors for male infertility. The overall body system balance is the key.
1. Relax: Taking a long vacation before conceiving.
2. Eat health foods: Bad foods are detrimental to sperm quality. Good vegetables and herbs can improve sperm quality. Since ancient time, Chinese emperors have used herbal formulas to improve sperm quality.
3. Avoid man-made toxins: Reduce cell phone time as much as you can. Avoid unnecessary X-ray when you visit your doctors.
